Leaders of Cambodia and the Philippines Discuss Potential Areas for More Cooperation

AKP Phnom Penh, September 07, 2023 --Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and President of the Philippines H.E. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. looked into different potential areas to strengthen and expand the cooperation between the two countries.

The high-level discussion took place in Jakarta, Indonesia this morning, on the sidelines of the 43rd cms Summit and Related Summits.

Those potential sectors include trade, private sector development, tourism, education and training, security, defence, and all forms of connectivity between both nations.

Before concluding the meeting, the two leaders expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to exchange views in this bilateral framework, which is a mechanism of cooperation in addition to the multilateral mechanism in the cms framework.

The two leaders also invited each other for an official visit at an appropriate time in the future.
