The China Weaponry Hall began operations on Wednesday at the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition Center in Zhuhai, south China's Guangdong Province, showcasing a diverse array of technologically advanced defense equipment.

Inside the museum, visitors can marvel at China's homegrown large-caliber artillery, multiple rocket launcher systems, anti-tank missiles, self-propelled air defense systems, cruise missiles, and a range of other cutting-edge armaments.

"The Weaponry Hall comprises six major zones, featuring heavy tanks, howitzers, air-defense missiles, surface-to-surface missiles, drones, firearms and ammunition. These are all the latest and most advanced equipment currently in service," said Jiao Jian, deputy general manager of the operating company of the hall.

The hall is set to open to public on Sept 10, where visitors will have the opportunity to get up close to tanks, armored vehicles, and a variety of weaponry. The hall also offers 18 interactive activities, including tank driving and parachute jumps.

The hall will host educational programs and defense science popularization activities for young people from the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, fostering comprehensive exchanges among the youth in the Greater Bay Area.

"We aim to leverage our geographical advantage and make this hall a patriotic education base with its own unique characteristics and modern facilities in the Greater Bay Area," said Jiao.
