Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Briefed Thai Think Tank Scholars on the China-U.S. Summit

The Chinese Embassy in Thailand hosted a dialogue event titled “Conversations with Thinkers: Ambassador Zhang Jianwei Meets with Thai Think Tank Scholars.” on May 19.

Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei attended the event, together with heads or representatives from renowned Thai think tanks and universities, including the International Studies Center of Thailand, Chulalongkorn University, and Thammasat University.

Ambassador Zhang briefed the participants on the China-U.S. summit, noting that the heads of state of the two countries reached important consensus on building “a constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability” .This will create a more favorable environment for development for Thailand and Southeast Asia. China stands ready to work with Thailand to continuously deepen and consolidate the building of the China-Thailand community with a shared future.

The participating scholars expressed that the China-U.S. summit had captured the world’s attention and sent a positive signal, which is of great significance to the stability of regional industrial and supply chains as well as the peaceful development of Southeast Asian countries. They expressed their hope that China will continue to play its role as a responsible major country and work together with regional countries for a better future.
