Beijing hosts APEC China CEO Forum 2023

The APEC China CEO Forum 2023 brought Chinese trade officials and business leaders together in Beijing on Saturday for discussions around the theme of "Pursuing High-Quality, Sustainable Development."

The event was hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the China Chamber of International Commerce.

In a keynote speech at the event, China’s Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen, who is also China's international trade representative, said China will continue to push for high-level trade liberalization and trade alignment with global partners.

He said China is in the process of joining the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, an international trade pact to boost digital trade and create a framework for the global digital economy.

Launched in 2012, the APEC China CEO Forum is the main annual business forum held by the APEC China Business Council.

With the main goal of assessing world economic growth and China's development opportunities, the forum is committed to building an international platform for business leaders to promote innovation and win-win cooperation in the new era.
