A number of aviation equipment from Chinese companies have made their first appearance at the 54th Paris Air Show, the largest international aerospace exhibition ever held.
After a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the airshow has attracted more than 2,500 aerospace companies from around the world.
Many Chinese enterprises including the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) have attended the Paris Air Show.
Many types of airplanes from the AVIC including the AG600 large amphibious aircraft and Wing Loong-X UAV debut at the show.
"The quantity and scale of the products and new products brought by AVIC is the largest ever compared with the previous air shows that we attended," said Zhou Guoqiang, assistant general manager at AVIC.
At the air show, COMAC has showcased the C919 passenger jet and ARJ21 aircraft. The C919 completed its inaugural commercial flight on May 28 and has gained 1,035 orders from 32 customers so far.
Founded in 1909, the event has been held every odd year since 1949 at Paris-Le Bourget Airport in northern Paris.
In 2021, the organizers canceled the expo due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year's exhibition has restarted the "Paris Air Lab" to present innovative technologies aimed at reducing carbon emissions in air transportation and opens for the first time the "Paris Air Mobility" zone featuring a range of electric vertical take-off and landing devices and other inter-city air commuting equipment and technologies.
The expo will run until June 25.
