Cambodia, Korea Reach MoU on Cultural Heritage Cooperation

AKP Phnom Penh, February 20, 2024 --

The APSARA National Authority (ANA) of the Kingdom of Cambodia has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in the Field of Cultural Heritage with the Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) of the Republic of Korea.

H.E. Dr. Hang Peou, Director General of ANA, and H.E. Dr. Choi Eung-Chon, Administrator of CHA, signed the MoU in Seoul, the Republic of Korea on Feb. 19, according to an ANA’s news release issued on Monday.

This MoU focuses on the conservation and restoration work of the Angkor Wat Temple's Bakan Tower for three years, said the source.

In addition to the renovation of Angkor Wat's Bakan Tower, the cooperation also includes training and exchange of knowledge related to new technologies to present to national and international tourists, added the news release.
