A Chinese made power generator achieved 30,000 operational hours at an electricity power station on Ko Sichang Island in Thailand on Thursday, greatly improving the quality of life of local residents.

Located to the southeast of Bangkok, capital of Thailand, Ko Sichang Island covers 17 square kilometers with a population about 5,000 people. The power station on the island has an installed capacity of 3 megawatts, equipped with 3 sets of Weichai 12M22 power generators. The generators run an average of 16 hours a day, providing daily power supply for to merchants and residents on the island.

Launched in 2019, the generators gained high recognition for their sustaining 7x24-hour power generation.

With continuous optimization, the Ko Sichang power generation project has become a successful model for energy solutions in Thailand and even Southeast Asia.
