Nanning Forging ASEAN AI Hub to Drive Innovation and Collaboration

Stepping into the exhibition hall of the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Collaborative Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "CAAIC") in Wuxiang New District, Nanning, Guangxi, one is immediately struck by a profound sense of technological sophistication. This modern intelligent building, guided by the core philosophy of "Intelligence Converging ASEAN", deeply integrates cutting-edge technology with distinctive ASEAN cultural elements. It seamlessly incorporates advanced technologies such as intelligent interaction and immersive experiences, offering a comprehensive display of the captivating charm and vast application potential of artificial intelligence (AI).

Nanning, the provincial capital closest to ASEAN among China's capital cities, serves as a strategic gateway and hub for China's opening-up and cooperation with ASEAN. Against the backdrop of rapidly evolving technological innovations represented by artificial intelligence, Nanning is actively establishing itself as an AI innovation and cooperation hub oriented towards ASEAN.

Phase I of the exhibition center at the CAAIC is now complete and operational on a trial basis, hosting sixteen ASEAN-based enterprises. Featuring facilities such as the exhibition hall, service hall, AI factory, and ASEAN liaison office, this project has established a comprehensive platform that integrates demonstration, industrial collaboration, and cross-border synergy, establishing itself as a key hub for AI cooperation between China and ASEAN.

Among these facilities, the AI Exhibition Hall uses an AI navigation system along with naked-eye 3D and holographic displays to showcase China's AI achievements and the milestones in collaboration with ASEAN countries; the "Tree of Wisdom" service hall features digital root modeling, symbolizing the vigorous development of regional cooperation between China and ASEAN, and is a public service and exchange display window for artificial intelligence cooperation between the two sides; the AI Factory facilitates end-to-end workflows from data processing to large model applications, creating a hub of innovation where technology and culture come together.

"At the CAAIC, we can leverage enhanced computing power and deeper model exploration to focus on developing AI applications for cross-border e-commerce, accelerating their evolution from 'tentative trials' to 'substantial strides'," stated Li Zhiping, Chairman of Lazbao Group. As a cross-border e-commerce enterprise, Lazbao will fully utilize Nanning's strategic location and the platform provided by the CAAIC to promote AI application scenarios, such as AI-powered customer service, in ASEAN countries.

Currently, Nanning is accelerating the cultivation and expansion of emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, pioneering new fields and tracks, and striving to build a new highland for the AI industry oriented towards ASEAN. Centering on intelligent computing and its related industries, the Wuxiang Cloud Valley AI Intelligent Computing Industrial Park plans to develop the China-ASEAN 10,000-GPU Computing Cluster. Leveraging Nanning’s strategic advantages as a gateway to ASEAN, the park will provide AI computing power, intelligent computing center construction, operation, and maintenance services to ASEAN member states, enabling widespread and accessible deployment of AI computing resources.
