Cambodian Deputy PM receives a courtesy call by China’s new Ambassador to Cambodia

On 08 August 2024, SOK Chenda Sophea, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Wang Wenbin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Ministry.

The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Wang Wenbin on his appointment as the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia and stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stands ready to work closely with him and Chinese Embassy in Phnom Penh to contribute to further promoting Cambodia-China bilateral relations. Wang Wenbin expressed his sincere gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for receiving the courtesy call and his warm words.

The Deputy Prime Minister and the Ambassador highly appreciated the continuous development of the bilateral relations and comprehensive strategic partnership between Cambodia and China, which cover almost all areas. They also discussed the further strengthening of the ironclad friendship and deepening of diamond cooperation to contribute to building a high-quality, high-level and high-standard Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future.

SOK Chenda Sophea expressed confidence that during his diplomatic mission in Cambodia, His Excellency Ambassador will actively contribute to bringing further significant achievements to Cambodia-China relations.
