ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) Well Presented at the 21st CAEXPO

From 24 to 28 September 2024, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) was invited to participate in the 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) in Nanning of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and set up its themed booth for the12th consecutive year.

On 25 September, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ACC paid visits to the ACC booth, as well as the booths of 10 ASEAN Member States (AMS) and the ones showcasing the related Chinese enterprises, where he had cordial interactions with the guests on site. During the exhibition period, Secretary General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn of ASEAN, Deputy Minister Santisouk Simamlavong of Technology and Communications of the Lao PDR, Undersecretary Abdulla Al Saleh of Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, and representatives from government agencies, business associations and enterprises from both China and foreign countries also visited the ACC booth to gain a deeper understanding of ACC's functions and explore opportunities for future cooperation.  

Coinciding with the 2024 ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges, the ACC booth, themed "Prospering with Beauty, Amity and Harmony”, staged an all-round presentation of the ACC’s mandate of and achievements in advancing friendly relations and practical cooperation between ASEAN and China in such fields as trade, investment, education, culture, tourism and media, through photo boards, arts display, short videos and WeChat fun quiz. Thousands of visitors were attracted to the ACC booth, giving it a try at both quiz on ASEAN-China Relations and making of peony porcelain, a kind of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. The ACC booth made its name and was rated as one of the most popular booths at the 21st CAEXPO.
