ASEANTOP: October 10th, 2025 | SIHANOUKVILLE, Cambodia – The Chinese Navy's training ship "Qi Jiguang" and "Yimengshan" successfully entered Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on October 10, beginning a five-day friendly visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The delegation received a warm welcome from over 300 attendees at the dock, including staff from the Chinese embassy and consulate, representatives from Chinese-funded institutions and overseas Chinese communities, and high-ranking officials from the Cambodian government and military. The visit underscores the robust and long-standing military ties between Beijing and Phnom Penh, following a series of high-level engagements and joint military exercises earlier this year.

The Chinese and Cambodian navies are scheduled to conduct a variety of activities aimed at strengthening their mutual trust, friendship, and practical cooperation. These activities will include: Joint training exercises, Professional exchanges between naval personnel and Cultural interaction events.

According to the official itinerary, the Chinese naval delegation will visit several key Cambodian military installations, including the Ream Naval Base and the Royal Cambodian Navy Headquarters, for courtesy calls and further technical exchanges. The delegation will also visit the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.
