The Techo Santepheap Kep Beach Development Project, a major 2,700-metre coastal beautification initiative, is now complete and immediately open to the public, provincial authorities announced on October 28th.

The Governor of Kep Province,Cambodia Som Piseth inspected the site on October 29, confirming the successful completion of the main beach and essential wave control infrastructure. The Governor verified that the development has significantly upgraded public beach facilities, fulfilling its goal of transforming Kep into an attractive tourist destination.
Governor Piseth also confirmed the completion of the key Lok Yay Chamteav Mao roundabout, which enhances the scenic views behind the crab market. While the 21-metre-high sculpture at the roundabout remains under construction, the area is fully accessible to visitors.
Future project phases, including the planned development of dedicated pedestrian and bicycle paths, will proceed according to the public-private joint development contract that drove the Techo Santepheap Beach project.
The completion marks a significant milestone in improving Kep’s public infrastructure, offering a luxury public beach experience designed to boost tourism and economic activity in the province.
