The Battambang Provincial Department of Tourism has reported a significant influx of visitors, with more than 120,000 tourists visiting and staying in the province during the three-day Royal Water Festival, which ran from November 4th to 6th, 2025.
According to Ham Arun, Deputy Director of the Battambang Provincial Department of Tourism, the province received a total of 123,955 visitors during the festival period. This marks a notable increase of 12.19% compared to the corresponding period in 2024, when the province saw more than 110,000 visitors.
The total number of visitors for 2025 included: Domestic Tourists: 123,080, marking a 12.22% rise compared to 109,677 in 2024. International Visitors: 875, an increase of 7.76% from 812 during the same period last year.
The Department of Tourism stated that visitors enjoyed a wide array of activities across Battambang’s popular destinations. These activities included: visits to local pagodas hosting traditional Ambok (flattened rice) ceremonies, sightseeing at the vibrant city center and a special focus along Road No. 2, where the "Clean City Arts Festival 2025" was successfully organized.
The strong turnout underscores Battambang's growing appeal as a key provincial destination during one of Cambodia's most important national holidays.
