China grieved over the casualties in the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, hoping both sides could de-escalate the tension

ASEANTOP - November 15, 2025 - The Chinese Ministry of foreign affairs issued a statement on the latest developments regarding the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict, expressing deep sorrow and sincere condolences for the casualties caused to the people of Cambodia and Thailand. At the Chinese ministry of foreign affairs regular press conference on December 15, a reporter asked: "Despite recent phone calls between leaders of relevant countries and the leaders of Cambodia and Thailand, urging a ceasefire between the two countries as soon as possible, the conflict on the Cambodia-Thailand border continues. What is China's comment on this? What efforts has China made to promote a ceasefire?"
