PHNOM PENH, Cambodia — Cambodia’s trade momentum saw a significant boost in 2025, with exports to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the European Union (EU) reaching a combined $10.67 billion. According to a report released on January 9, 2026 by the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, these two major markets now account for over 34% of the Kingdom’s total global exports.

The Ministry's data highlights a strong upward trend in demand for Cambodian products within both regional and Western markets. ASEAN Market: Exports to fellow member states totaled $5.67 billion, marking a 9.8% year-on-year increase. This region now represents 18.1% of Cambodia’s total export volume. European Union (EU): Shipments to the EU grew by 13.5% year-on-year, reaching $5 billion. The EU market accounts for 16% of the nation's total exports.

Total global exports for Cambodia in 2025 were valued at $31.28 billion, showcasing the Kingdom’s growing integration into the global supply chain.

The continued growth in these markets reflects the effectiveness of Cambodia's trade diversification strategies and its commitment to international quality standards. The 13.5% jump in EU exports particularly underscores the continued competitiveness of Cambodian manufactured goods in high-standard markets.

As Cambodia moves into 2026, the Ministry of Commerce remains focused on expanding trade agreements and enhancing the ease of doing business to maintain this positive trajectory.
