WANLI Tire (Cambodia) officially inaugurated its Production Base in Svay Rieng, Cambodia

Svay Rieng - Cambodia - On Monday, Januray 12, 2026, WANLI Tire (Cambodia) officially inaugurated its 1st phase of Production Base in the Sin Bavet Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng Province, Cambodia.

The ceremony was presided over by SUN CHANTHOL, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and was attended by Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, Deputy Governor of Svay Rieng Province, Mr. JING GUANGJUN, Chairman of the Board of Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holding Group, as well as Ladies and Gentlemen, and many national and international delegations.

This project marks a historic milestone as Wanli Tire’s first production facility outside of China. The factory was completed exactly one year after its groundbreaking in January 2025, following successful investment negotiations that began in late 2023.

The operation of the Phase 1 factory is expected to drive significant economic growth through four main channels; namely, Job Creation & Tech Transfer: Providing thousands of jobs and training Cambodian workers in modern industrial technology. Support for Agriculture: Acting as a major domestic market for natural rubber, directly benefiting Cambodian rubber farmers. Industrial Diversification: Shifting Cambodia’s industrial profile from garments and footwear toward automotive components and heavy industry. Export Growth: Increasing international trade volume and boosting national exports.

In his speech, Sun Chanthol highlighted why Cambodia is becoming a preferred destination of global manufacturers:

1. Record-Breaking Investment: Cambodia has seen an unprecedented surge in investment project approvals over the last two years, with the government highlighted its commitment to political stability, a young workforce, and transparent, digitalized administrative reforms.

2. Trade Advantages: Cambodia is the first country to sign a reciprocal trade agreement with the United States, ensuring stable access to the U.S. market for locally produced goods.

The Deputy Prime Minister sincerely expressed optimism that Wanli Tire’s success will serve as a "living witness" to Cambodia’s favorable investment climate, helping to attract a wider network of Chinese investors and further strengthening the national economy.
