PHNOM PENH - Cambodia - On January 12, the Real Estate Business & Pawnshop Regulator (PEBPR) of Cambodia issued a notice ordering the immediate suspension of sales for five large-scale residential projects under the Prince Group. According to the notice, the affected projects include: Prince Happiness Plaza or Pinnacle RESIDENCE, Prince Golden Bay, Prince Huan Yu, Prince One Tropica, and Samraong Village.

The directive explicitly states that no new units may be sold, no new sales contracts may be signed, and all pre-sale activities must cease immediately.
The regulatory authority further emphasized that existing customers must continue to fulfill their contractual obligations. Those who have already completed their payments may still proceed with property title transfers; these will be coordinated by the regulator in conjunction with the land management department.
Reports indicate that Chen Zhi, a prominent figure within the Prince Group, has been arrested by Cambodian law enforcement and repatriated to China for investigation. Simultaneously, several Prince Group affiliates have been brought under investigation by relevant authorities.
