The 10th Cambodia River Festival will take place in Kratie Province

Kratie Province – March 7^th, 2026 – The celebration of the 10^th River Festival will take place in Kratie Province, under the theme “Green River, Great Cultural and Natural Heritage” from March 27^th to 29^th, 2026. HUOTHAK, Cambodian minister of tourism along with the governor of Kratie province, VA THON, leaded the delegates to inspect the event side along Mekong River.

On top of the new established 1,761-meter-long Cambodia-China Mekong Kratie Friendship Bridge, this celebration will showcase the province’s authentic cultural heritage, rich and vibrant natural tourism potential and the livelihood of the local people.

HUOT HAK warmly welcomed and encouraged national and international tourists to participate in this celebration, highlighting that tourist would be able to experience a wide range of activities, such as performances of traditional cultural arts, exhibition of local products, sports and many other entertainment programs…etc.

To further emphasized on the importance of the River Festival, the Minister highlighted 5 direct-indirect benefits of this occasion:

1. Demonstrating strong solidarity among all stakeholders through the “One System Actor” approach

2. Promoting development and economic growth

3. Encouraging green development with consideration for cultural resources (Khmer identity), nature, and the environment

4. Enhancing education and public awareness

5. Promoting the tourism sector through major events.
