CAMBODIA-UK officially implemented the MOU to promote human resource

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia – March 10^th, 2026 – HENG SOUR, minister of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia, together with Dominic Williams, British Ambassador to Cambodia, signed the MOU to actively promote the human resources in Cambodia, with theme “Building a Future Workforce through Partnership”.

This collaboration is an important step in cooperation, knowledge sharing and institutional linkages to ensure and strengthening local’s skills and competitiveness, said the minister. During this occasion, he further emphasized on how this timely strategical MOU will encourage and help evolving Cambodia’s youth to be a significant workforce, as well as realizing the country’s goal to become a high-income country by 2050. “Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is an important pathway for young people to enter the labour market” he concluded.

Williams sincerely expressed and welcomed this partnership program, which considered as an exciting new chapter for both countries. He hoped that, with the UK’s technical and professional expertise, will bring a significant and fruitful result to Cambodia through high-quality training programs that respond to the industry’s standard.
