The opening of "Mekong Lancang's Training Course" Held in Kampot, Cambodia

KAMPOT, Cambodia – March 11^th, 2026 – The opening ceremony of “the Second Training of Trainers on Service Excellent, Skills Development, and Innovative Tourism" for the Mekong-Lancang Countries was successfully held, presiding over by HUOT HAK, Cambodian minister of Tourism, together with KHIEU RITHIPHON, Deputy Governor of Kampot Province, and over 200 national and international participants.

“This large-scale and high-quality seminar will add deeper meaning to cooperation between countries in the Mekong River Basin, as well as the Cambodian-Chinese friendship and long-standing diplomatic relations for 67 years, in line with the spirit of "Iron clad Friendship and All-weather Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future in the New Era" as well as the Cambodian-Chinese Diamond Cooperation Framework,” said minister.

This platform will provide a value training course which not only encourage young generation to mutually cooperate and develop altogether, but also a diplomatic and economic engine, aiming to elevate the tourism sector after the COVID-19 crisis.

This initiative serves as a bridge between regional neighbors, using education and innovation to ensure the Mekong-Lancang region remains a competitive and high-quality destination for global travelers.
