According to Cambodia ministry of Education, Youth and Sport’s social media page on March 13th, Cambodia makes a significant progression on National School feeding program, with Local commodities Production. This program considerably initiates from a strong partnership between ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), National Social Protection Council and the World Food Program (WFP).

With over 300 thousand students, being fed, in 1114 rural primary school across 10 provinces, these meals provide children with enough nutrition to study effectively, attend school regularly, and build a strong foundation for learning.
In addition to the benefits for the students, the program makes a sustainably impact on the community; such as:
1. Local produce procurement
2. Job creation for community
3. Strengthening Local Food Systems
Ministry concluded with the statement “Together, we build a healthy future for the next generation and contribute to the long-term development of Cambodia’s human capital.
