Asia Euro University Hosted “AEU Sangkranta 2026” to Celebrate Khmer New Year and Promote National Heritage

PHNOM PENH, April 2nd, 2026 – On the occasion of the 2026 Khmer New Year, Asia Euro University (AEU) hosted the “Asia Europe University Sangkranta” program on April 1, 2026. The event, held at the university’s Golden Building, brought together university leadership, staff, professors, students, and distinguished guests in a grand display of national pride.

The festivities were presided over by the presence of Neak Oknha Ly Khunthai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asia Euro University; Kha Leng, Honorary Chairman of the Board; and Neak Oknha Duong Leang, Honorary President of the University. Their participation underscored the event’s significance in fostering a sense of solidarity and cultural preservation among the younger generation.

Beyond the festivities, the program held a deep sense of gratitude for the brave soldiers stationed at the borders. Through Buddhist chanting and dedication ceremonies, the AEU community expressed their emotional support and appreciation for those protecting the nation’s sovereignty and peace.

To demonstrate a commitment to social welfare, AEU utilized the event as a charity platform. Proceeds and contributions were organized to alleviate the hardships of citizens and refugees in affected border areas, highlighting the academic community’s role in social responsibility.
